Born and raised in Alexandria, Carter Land began his career as an attorney in 1976 and opened Land and Clark with Jim Clark in 1978. His practice focuses on real estate and trusts and estates. He believes in the power of people working together for a common purpose and helping to get the deal done to everyone’s satisfaction.Carter has been consistently recognized by his peers in the legal community for the highest level of legal abilities and adherence to ethical standards as an AV® Preeminent™ Peer Review RatedSM by Martindale-Hubbell® lawyer. He has lectured on probate, residential settlements and real estate document drafting for Virginia continuing legal education programs. Carter is committed to the Alexandria community. He has been actively involved for years with Christ Church programs, including vestry, the rector search committee, and outreach programs, where he has served as chairman. He has also served as president of Senior Services of Alexandria (formerly Senior Citizens Employment and Services of Alexandria).
